Wooden Floor
Some refrigerated trailers have wooden floors most suitable for hauling cargo with airflow needs. Wooden floors also make the best shock absorbers and provide good base support for the cargo in transit. Wood is not as durable as metal but some reefer trailers offer provision for hardwood options.
Metallic Floor
This type of floor is durable and strong enough to support heavy freights, which means that the floor is not easily damaged. This also remains in good condition for longer periods as it can withstand friction. Mostly, the materials used are steel and aluminum. These are non-corrosive and easy which helps to maintain high levels of hygiene.
Heavy Duty
Generally, trailers are big compared to trucks and as such are assembled with powerful configurations such as great torque power and horsepower. This way, reefer trailers can be used to carry out heavier tasks that range from different types of cargo.
Multiple Temperature Zone
As opposed to the conventional reefer trailers that have single-temperature units in the cargo area, some are built with multiple temperature specifications. These have several compartments in them, with different temperatures to suit assorted goods. This is profitable in the sense that you can carry various goods with different requirements under one roof instead of sourcing multiple trailers.
Utility
Utility produces reefer trailers too besides dry vans and flatbeds. Their refrigerated trailers are strong yet lightweight with incredible features. Some of these key features include durability, efficiency, safety, and performance. Their floors are made of aluminum with a non-tapered wear band and can carry up to 20,000lbs. The rear doors have a bonded foam that makes them light and maximizes thermal efficiency besides acting as a seal to prevent the entry of moisture. The USS-120A-4 has an aerodynamic side skirt that optimizes fuel efficiency and also aids in lowering the resistance of tires. The temperature management systems are of high quality making them dependable during freight.

Great Dane’s reefer trailers are highly innovative and convenient. The brand has made impressive models such as Everest, Alpine, and Johnson which are thermal efficient commercial vehicles. Thermoking
Thermo King is commonly known for the manufacture of refrigerated trucks. It has made superb refrigerated trailers which is the reason why it is common for most businesses. These reefer trailers have diverse reefers such as the T-90 Series built with diverse capabilities and either single or multiple temperature zone specifications. A Thermoking multi-temp reefer trailer is perfect for a business that often makes frequent deliveries.
