Refrigerated Trailers
Also called reefer trailers, refrigerated trailers come in either single or multiple zone options, and can vary in length from 48 ft to 53 ft. These are typically dry van trailers that have been outfitted with refrigeration units and are used to haul perishable or temperature-sensitive items.
Dry Van Trailers
Being the most common types of trailers used to carry dry freight, these are a great option when you need to carry a large number of different pieces of cargo or need to ensure that your goods are not exposed to the elements, like rain or snow. Whatever the reason for your need for a dry van trailer, you can download the COOP app today to find the right one for you!
Flatbed Trailers
Unlike many other types of trailers, flatbed trailers do not have a roof and most don't have sides built into the cargo area. This configuration gives them a much higher clearance than fully enclosed trailers, and they are often used to carry large, heavy, or tall equipment. Examples of variations of the flatbed are the lowboy or step deck trailer, which have a lower body meant to carry extremely tall equipment or machinery.
Pup Trailers
A pup trailer is a smaller than average trailer, typically coming in 26 ft to 28 ft sizes. These can either be pulled by themselves for small cargo loads or can be pulled in chains of two or three for cargo that is meant to be delivered to multiple clients or stops on a trip.
Hyundai
Hyundai Translead has been a leader in engineering and manufacturing since 1947. Over the years, their focus on R&D and innovation has led them to become the leading manufacturer of dry and refrigerated van trailers, flatbeds, chassis, and dollies in North America. From the hot-dip steel galvanizing process of the structural steel components in their HT flatbeds to the high tensile steel, decades of research have made Hyundai one of the most trusted names in trailer manufacturing in the nation.
Utility
As the oldest and third largest manufacturer of trailers in the US, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company has learned a thing or two about how to make a high quality trailer over the many years that they’ve been in business. With the strength of steel but in the lightweight benefit of an all aluminum body, their 4000 AE model trailer has found a way to transcend the normal weight and strength requirements that have eluded other manufacturers. This American brand is known for durability and quality, and once you use their trailers you will understand how they have stayed in business for over a century.
Thermo King
As both the inventor and industry leader of refrigeration units for trucks and trailers, Thermo King’s technology has always led the pack in terms of the ability to rest assured that your perishable or temperature-specific cargo will be safe in their hands. Available in options for single or multiple temperature zone reefer trailers, use the COOP app today to find a Thermo King-enabled refrigerated trailer to keep your precious cargo safe in Bridgeport.
Stoughton
Founded in 1961 when the company that had given Don Wahlin his first post-college job filed for bankruptcy and Don pooled money from family and friends to buy the company, Stoughton Trailers is now one of the largest manufacturers of dry van, grain, and refrigerated trailers in North America. Over the past 60 years, the company has grown substantially but has always kept its reputation for attention to detail.
