Multiple Temperature Zone
The refrigerated units in refrigerated straight trucks have technology that allows them to set different zones within the cargo area that each has its own specific and steady temperature. Even if your day’s cargo contains multiple different loads of items that need to be refrigerated at different temperatures, a multiple-temperature zone refrigerated straight truck will keep your cargo at the temperature that it needs.
Metallic Floor
Metallic floor refrigerated box trucks contain metallic floors in the cargo area. Because liquid, ice, and extreme temperatures will not warp metal the same as it may with wood over time, these floors will generally last longer than those made of wood. The downside of using metallic floors in refrigerated straight trucks is that they do not allow as much air circulation as wood does.
Wooden Floor
Although they are not as flat and even as a metallic floor, the wood used to make up the floor of a wooden floor refrigerated straight truck allows for increased air circulation in the cargo area. As a downside, wooden floors need to be replaced periodically, because the condensation and ice will warp the wood and cause it to spoil over time.
