Tandem Axle Tractor
These are large tractors with two rear axles and up to 18 wheels which gives them incredible strength and stability. The engine of such tractors sends power to the axles and also can switch the drive power between its front wheels, giving it the ability to haul a load of up to 80,000 pounds. Power is usually distributed between the axles for easier drives. On the downside, tandem axle tractors are large in size which means that they are less flexible and consume more fuel compared to smaller ones.
Single Axle Tractor
It is a tractor fitted with only one rear drive axle which reduces the size and power as compared to the tandem-axle tractors. Single axle tractors are mainly designed for city and local neighborhood deliveries with a hauling capacity of up to 65,000 pounds. They are also light which translates to better mileage, making them perfect for hauling long-distance freights.
Semi Truck
This type of sleeper tractor is simply a combination of a tractor unit and other units, either cab-overs or conventional. The semi-trailer compartment is in most cases detachable and in this case, includes a sleeper berth area. The semi-trailer is the compartment where the load is held and comes in different configurations. Most semi-trailers have a manual transmission but there are some manufactures that offer automated & hydraulic manual transmissions.
International
The brand produces a wide range of tractors that you can access here in Indianapolis. The machines are usually tough even in harsh weather and tight deadlines. The tractors are durable and powerful enough making them reliable for long-distance transportation due to their big torque and horsepower. The model 579 for instance has a 15” digital display dashboard and safety assist technology to make its control easy. The engine is super-efficient which maximizes the miles traveled with a 12-speed transmission. It also has a 70 cubic feet storage in the sleeper compartment with a comfortable bed making it an enjoyable long-distance drive.
Volvo
The Volvo VNL tractors have a visionary design and are manufactured with a streamlined design standard for long hauls. They are also popular for their fuel efficiency and enhanced visibility. Volvo is designed with the driver in mind hence a spacious cabin; perfect steering, clearly displayed dashboard, and comfy seats. After completing the registration form, a COOP member will connect with you to set up your free account. Then, get ready to start reserving!
Find Your Vehicles
You can use various filters or speak with our expert team to search for the equipment that perfectly fits your business’s needs. Request to reserve vehicles directly from a mobile device or desktop computer.
Pick-Up
Once at the pick-up location, drivers will upload photos of the vehicle’s condition on the platform and get the keys from the vehicle’s owner to begin a rental and get on the road.
Drop-Off
To complete reservations, simply have drivers return the vehicles to their designated locations, hand off the keys, and upload some return pictures. Pay the daily rate and mileage, and you're done!
